Junior Accountant [Belgium]

For our client, firm specialized in accounting & audit, we are currently looking for a Junior Accountant in their offices in Flemish – Brabant & Brussels.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

  Prepare CAP-file for auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audits.
• Perform analysis of quarterly balance sheets and P&L fluctuations.
• Handle monthly travel expense accounting and reporting.
• Manage daily bank transactions, cash pool, and cash flow reporting.
• Consolidate financial data, perform inter-company transactions and reconciliations, including foreign currency accounting.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP in the preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain and manage fixed assets.
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Contribute to SAP improvements and enhancements.
• Collaborate and interact with various departments such as engineering, sales operations, IT, legal, and foreign branches.
• Prepare and submit legal reports, including NBB and VAT listings.
• Assist with ad hoc activities as required.

Required Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English, or Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the accounting and audit field.
