Rock.estate is a data science company, specialised in the remote and real-time evaluation of buildings on a country-wide scale. We combine various forms of geodata with the latest AI and machine learning techniques.

Multiple insurers and banks already use our solution to understand the value and the risks of their customer’s houses. This enables them to digitise their product offering with frictionless customer journeys without compromising on risk management.

What you can expect

You will be our first fully dedicated backend engineer. Your main responsibility will be to bring our product and the work of our team to life through the web, collaborating together with our full-stack and frontend engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  Perform data analysis on user feedback, usage metrics, and other relevant data sources to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the product team to propose innovative solutions and improvements based on the identified pain points.
• Work closely with the engineering team to translate proposed improvements into tangible use cases and feature requirements.
• Assist in creating wireframes and prototypes to visualise the proposed product enhancements and gather feedback from stakeholders.

Required skills & experience

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., business, marketing, design, real estate, …)
• Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French are a plus)
• A healthy dose of curiosity, critical thinking, motivation and perseverance
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
